How we’re doing

The SHA has a duty to ensure that all health organisations in South Central are efficient and effective and it does this in a variety of ways.
Achieving and maintaining financial stability across NHS South Central is a key objective, and the SHA also performance manages local organisations against targets. Our performance against targets in 2009/10 can be seen here.
In order to improve performance across the region, the SHA develops and spreads best practice. Each of our clinicial programmes is focused on helping local health organisations to improve their quality of care and their productivity.
SHA Assurance
NHS South Central underwent a series of visits in July 2010 as part of the SHA Assurance process. This is a process which aims to support the development of SHA capability and capacity. The final report can be viewed here
